Really good fight and .— Jan Blachowicz (@JanBlachowicz)
I found the judge who who scored 49-46 for Jones.
— Tatiana Suarez (@tatianaufc)
Not robbery. Close fight, could have gone either way. 3-1 or 2-2 going into 5th. I thought 3-2 Reyes but the fight was so close it could have gone either way.
— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma)
No not 49-46 at all
— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma)
Booooooooo!!!!!
— Tito Ortiz (@titoortiz)
OMG! What a wonderful performance for Reyes?! 👀
— Francis Ngannou (@francis_ngannou)
MOTHER FUCKING ROBBERY DOM WON THAT FIGHT
— Diego Sanchez UFC (@DiegoSanchezUFC)
The decisions tonight were all wrong . They need vet fighters to become judges for our sport
— Eddie Alvarez (@Ealvarezfight)
Dana White had the fight 48-47 for Reyes, but acknowledged there were dissenting opinions throughout the promotion.
He said that former matchmaker Joe Silva scored it a draw.
— Aaron Bronsteter (@aaronbronsteter)
3-2
— michael (@bisping)
Not sure about the score cards . They awarded pressure tonight . What scores more PRESSURE or point strikes ? There’s is no concrete answer . We need a standard judging system!
— Derek Brunson (@DerekBrunson)
And they showed the graphic with Reyes landing more sig strikes the first 3rds….these judges smh
— Gerald Meerschaert (@The_Real_GM3)
I don’t agree with the scoring. But I knew I could’ve went either way.
— Corey Anderson UFC (@CoreyA_MMA)
There is a new scoring system coming soon in the UFC it’s needed. Better judges as well . I wouldn’t have wanted to be one in the Main Event . So Fken close Maybe a draw ? Who you got ? Run it back for sure . Great Fight guys
— Mark Coleman (@Markcolemanmma)
Lol
— Israel Adesanya (@stylebender)
Is our sport the only major sport where you don’t see score until game is over? What would harm be in judges showing their scores after each round? Honest question not a diss
— Max Holloway (@BlessedMMA)
This is one of my biggest pet peeves in combat sports. If a judge is asking himself, did he do enough to beat the champ? while scoring he should be fired. That’s not how this works.
— Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani)
This is embarrassing for the sport.
— Sam Alvey (@smilensam)
UNANIMOUS? Never go back to Houston that’s all I’m sayin
— Mike Trizano (@TheLoneWolfMMA)
What a fight!!!! So impressed by I think he should get the nod but have a feeling jones stays champ. Either way, great fight by both men!!! Thank you
— Brad Tavares (@BradTavares)
I had Reyes in the first three rounds. Credit to Jones on coming on strong 4th and 5th but I would of guessed Reyes won that fight on scorecards.
— Chris Weidman (@chrisweidman)
49-46 wtf was that person watching. My gawd!
— Tatiana Suarez (@tatianaufc)
I got 3-2 Jon Jones
— James Vick (@JamesVickMMA)
To be the champ, you gotta beat the champ!
— Aljamain Sterling (@funkmasterMMA)
You continue to inspire many of us brotha
— Aljamain Sterling (@funkmasterMMA)
FORTY NINE TO FORTY SIX WHO IN TF!?
— Gerald Harris (@GHurricane)
Surprised, but it was close so u cant be mad. 49 46 a bit wild but great fight
— Sodiq Yusuff (@Super_Sodiq)
THIS IS FUCKING BS WOW. REALLY? WTF 🙈
— Manny Gamburyan (@MannyGamburyan)
Wow like you couldn’t seem more corrupt! Jon Jones did NOT win that fight. 3 rounds to 2, for Reyes and that can’t be argued! TRASH! You stole that from the man the earned it. Terrible!
